This depends on what you need to insure and at what time during the day we receive your enquiry. Quotations for Operators of up to 4 vehicles are often immediate(where possible). Most quotations including Fleets of 4+ vehicles can be given the same day.

Does my policy cover me for a hire vehicle following an accident?

Unlike many private car insurance policies, Commercial Vehicle policies do not provide cover for a hire vehicle in the event of you losing the use of your vehicle following an insured loss. In the event of a non-fault accident it is possible to recover the outlay for vehicle hire from the third party- However this is by no way guaranteed therefore we recommend arranging Loss of Use cover.

Do I need a Green card when going abroad?

Strictly speaking No. The UK is part of the European Union and Motor Insurers automatically provide cover when traveling to EU member countries. However cover only meets the minimum requirements of the country you are in therefore any damage to your vehicle following an Accident Fire or Theft, even a windscreen breakage will NOT be covered.

Do I also need Employers Liability insurance?

This insurance covers your legal liability as an employer for injury to employees arising out of and in the course of their employment. The basic cover applies to casual employees only. If you have part or full time employees there is a need to extend the basic cover to apply to these employees also.
